Thank you for a great #MACUL21 - check back here for any resources uploaded by presenters!

Please note that SCHED does not transfer into HOPIN.  SCHED is our preview site, so you can see schedules, session information and access resources posted by speakers.  Building a schedule of sessions you want to attend in SCHED will not automatically place you into a Hopin Session.  You will have to join the Conference in Hopin, then click on the Session tile to participate in your desired sessions in Hopin.

You must be registered for the conference to gain access to Hopin and participate in any of the sessions listed here on SCHED. SCHED requires a different log-in than MACUL’s registration system.

Conference Workshops require pre-registration and paying a separate fee to participate in the workshop. Adding a workshop to your schedule in SCHED does not enroll you in a workshop. Visit maculconference.org to register for a workshop.

Having a profile and joining sessions here on SCHED does not sign you up for the conference. Please visit maculconference.org for more information on how to register today!

Andrew Lindsay

Southgate Community School District
Principal
Southgate, Michigan
Hi! I'm Andy Lindsay. I have been a teacher and administrator in public schools since 1997. I currently serve as Principal at Fordline Elementary School in Southgate, Michigan. I previously served as the Assistant Principal at Owen Intermediate School in Belleville, Michigan.

In 2019, I was recognized by the Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principal’s Association (MEMSPA) as Assistant Principal of the Year for the State of Michigan. I attended Eastern Michigan University on a Presidential Scholarship, which is the highest academic award offered at EMU. After my first year of teaching, I was named the Sallie Mae Outstanding First Year Teacher for the state of Michigan and traveled to Washington, DC to receive my award. Five years later in 2002, I was awarded the Michigan Social Studies Teacher of the Year by the Michigan Council for the Social Studies. Also in 2002, I was featured on National Public Radio in a segment about teaching the First Amendment.

I have presented a number of webinars for the National Association of Elementary School Principals on different aspects of being an effective Assistant Principal. I have presented for a number of state teaching associations at different conferences on subjects from productivity to creating highly effective working relationships.
I am married and have a son in high school, a daughter attending Grand Valley State University, a daughter who recently graduated from the University of Michigan and is now studying for medical school admission and a son attending Johns Hopkins University.

My passions are leadership, productivity, and the Detroit Lions...who rarely show much in the areas of leadership nor productivity...
